Your privacy is critically important to us. Momentos.Life (or Momentos, henceforward) is built at EITR Systems, Inc. At EITR Systems, we have a few fundamental principles:
Please also read EITR Systems Inc.’s Terms of Service (“Terms”) [hyperlink], which describes the terms under which you use our Services.
We only collect information about you if we have a reason to do so–for example, to provide our Services, to communicate with you, or to make our Services better. We collect information in three ways: if and when you provide information to us, automatically through operating our services, and from outside sources. Let’s go over the information that we collect.
It’s probably no surprise that we collect information that you provide to us. The amount and type of information depends on the context and how we use the information. Here are some examples:
Basic Account Information: We ask for basic information from you in order to set up your account. For example, we require individuals who sign up for a momentos.life account to provide an email address. You may also add other information to your account, such as a profile name, profile picture, and status message.
Public Profile Information: If you have an account with us, we collect the information that you provide for your public profile. For example, if you have a Momentos account, your username is part of that public profile, along with any other information you put into your public profile. Your public profile is just that–public–so please keep that in mind when deciding what information you would like to include.
Personal Data: Demographic and other personally identifiable information (such as your email address) that you voluntarily give to us when choosing to participate in various activities related to the Application, such as chat, posting messages in comment sections or in our forums, liking posts, sending feedback, and responding to surveys. If you choose to share data about yourself via your profile, online chat, or other interactive areas of the Application, please be advised that all data you disclose in these areas is public and your data will be accessible to anyone who accesses the Application.
Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Application, such as your native actions that are integral to the Application, including liking, replying to a post, as well as other interactions with the Application and other users via server log files.
* **Communications with Us:** You may also provide us information when you respond to surveys, communicate with our engineers about a support question, or post a question on our public forums.
We also collect some information automatically:
Log Information: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information. We collect log information when you use our Services–for example, when you access Momentos on the web.
Usage Information: We collect information about your usage of our Services. For example, we collect information about the actions that site administrators and users perform in Momentos app – actions such as playing the audio of a lecture, etc. We also collect information about what happens when you use our Services (e.g., page views, search requests, button clicks) along with information about your device (e.g., mobile screen size, name of cellular network, and mobile device manufacturer). We use this information to, for example, provide our Services to you, as well as get insights on how people use our Services, so we can make our Services better and to create anonymized aggregate reporting information for our users.
Location Information: Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services. We may also determine the approximate location of your device when you visit our web page from your IP address. We collect and use this information to, for example, calculate how many people visit our web page from certain geographic regions. We may also collect information about your precise location via our mobile app if you allow us to do so through your mobile device operating system’s permissions. We may request access or permission to obtain location information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the Application, to provide location-based services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.
Stored Information: We may access information stored on your mobile device via our mobile app. We access this stored information through your device operating system’s permissions – device information such as your mobile device ID number, model, and manufacturer, version of your operating system, phone number, country, location, and any other data you choose to provide.
We may also get information about you from other sources. For example, if you create or log into your Momentos account through another service (like Google) or if you connect your account to a social media service (like Twitter), we will receive information from that service (such as your username, basic profile information, and friends list) via the authorization procedures used by that service. The information we receive depends on which services you authorize and any options that are available. We may also get information from third party services about individuals who are not yet our users (…but who we hope will be!), and which we may use, for example, for marketing and advertising purposes.
Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We use information about you as mentioned above and as follows:
We do not sell our users’ private personal information. We share information about you in the limited circumstances spelled out below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy:
Information that you choose to make public may be disclosed publicly. That means, of course, that information like your public profile, posts, other content that you make public on your website, and your “likes” and comments on other websites that use our Services, are all available to others–and we hope you get a lot of views! Public information may also be indexed by search engines or used by third parties. Please keep all of this in mind when deciding what you would like to share. ### Security
While no online service is 100% secure, we work very hard to protect information about you against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction, and take reasonable measures to do so. We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.
You have several choices available when it comes to information about you:

You should review their rules and policies when installing and using third party software.
